Little Lines

Word limits can be both fun and challenging. Some writers struggle to meet them, while others go way over the top. Today, we'd like you to test yourself and see if you can complete this wordy challenge.

Light-Bulb: Write a poem in which the first line starts with exactly twenty words. The lines will decrease in number until your last line only has one word, like so:

20 Words

19 Words

18 Words

17 Words

etc.

And finally...

1 Word.

Specifics: Go to the "Light-er Hub," and press "Create New Post," then "Start a Discussion." Using the template above, write this poem (on any topic you wish), making sure to number your 20 lines. When you're done, include the title, "Little Lines," or the hashtag #LittleLines in your piece, and remember to leave the link to your poem in the comments.

Need an example? This piece, titled "Home," I wrote using this style.

Happy Lighting!

Your friend,
