Exhilaration

ex•hil•a•ra•tion ĭg-zĭl″ə-rā′shən

  • The state of being stimulated, refreshed, or elated.

  • The act of exhilarating, or of enlivening or cheering; the act of making glad or cheerful.

  • The state of being enlivened or cheerful; elevation of spirits; joyous enlivenment.

Light-ers, the dictionary has tried to define what, "Exhilaration," means, but has it really done it? Has it truly captured what it means to be exhilarated? Can a mere sentence truly define emotion? The answer is up to you.

Light-Bulb: Define what "Exhilaration," means. Write the dictionary's definition anew. What exhilarates you? Roller coasters, racing, flying? Or is it an everyday occurrence, like drawing or writing, that makes you feel exhilarated? The answer, definition, and emotion are all up to you to decide.

Specifics: Go to "Light-er Hub," and press "Create New Post," then "Start a Discussion." Write a poem that defines again what "Exhilaration," means. It can be as long or as short as you want, with any format. Make sure that you focus on "Exhiliaration--" whether describing what exhilarates you or completely scrapping the dictionary's definition of the word and writing your own! As always, like this Light-Bulb and comment the link to your entry if you write one, as well as put the Light-Bulb name in your title!

Happy Light-ing!
