Patriotic Poem

O say can you see, by the dawn's early light, what so proudly we hail'd at the twilight's last gleaming, whose broad stripes and bright stars through the perilous fight.........

I'm sure you know the rest, (if you don't here's the link) but what about other patriotic events? Were they written out in poetry?

Lightbulb: Today your challenge is to celebrate your country in poetry. Just like "The Star Spangled Banner" was written about the Battle of Baltimore, you too can describe a historical event of your country through rhyme. It could be based on past or present, but remember to build your country up, not criticize it. Find the good. Write the good. And as always, have fun--and happy 4th to all my 'merican peoples!

Happy lighting!

Your friend,
